To raise awareness among society and consumers and stimulate political discussion on a more sustainable development model, the final event of the LIFE New4Cartridges project was held on June 27 at the Prime Time Loft Bicocca, Milan.
LIFE New4Cartridges is a project aimed at reducing waste by developing a semi-automated system for the regeneration of inkjet cartridges. There are two project partners: Eco Store Srl and Berg Phi.
Eco Store is an Italian SME that aims to provide a quality alternative to original products with a focus on sustainability, while Berg Phi offers a management and recovery service for companies' printing consumables.
The event was designed to engage journalists and policymakers, providing them with crucial details and information about the project and the production line workflow.
Alessandro Gerardi, CEO of Eco Store, opened the meeting by presenting the company and emphasizing how the LIFE New4Cartridges project aligns with Eco Store's values, which have always focused on reducing resource waste.
Mattia Capuzzo, Head of Development & Innovation at partner Berg Phi, illustrated the company's effective empty cartridge collection system. Finally, Davide Dorfmann, Technical and Product Quality Manager at Eco Store, explained how the project funded by LIFE20 was born, outlining its ambitious goals and achievements.
A particularly moment was the screening of a video detailing the production line's operation, followed by a guided tour by Davide Dorfmann to Eco Store's headquarters in Sesto San Giovanni, where the production line is located. Here, at Via G. di Vittorio 307/30, participants could closely observe the innovative regeneration plant.
The participation was active and engaging, with questions that stimulated constructive discussions and valuable reflections for the project's future.
The event provided an extraordinary opportunity to deepen the understanding of the LIFE New4Cartridges project and to see the cartridge regeneration plant in action.
